When my clients want to get noticed and want to connect with their ideal client in their target market, I say one word –Perseverance!

Perseverance is a firm determination to persist in a course of tasks or action despite incessant failures, discouragement or difficulties. A business owner who perseveres does not give in or quit when confronted with an unexpected obstacle or difficulty. He or she is ready to endure until the set goal is achieved. Instead of giving up, a business owner will consider the circumstances, find a potential solution and take steps to rise above the challenges.

Having great product or service or even a niche is not enough since most customers/clients don’t know how great it is until they have already bought. You need great marketing since “Nothing happens until a sale is made” (Thomas Watson, IBM).

Create an Avatar (or a few) for your ideal client and really get an understanding of them… What keeps them awake at night? What are their frustrations?

Your website should be designed for your prospects and not exactly to your current client or to you, the business owner. Is your website acting as a lead generator and sales employee while you sleep?

It is quite shocking that a sizeable number of business owners do not regularly check their income and expense reports. It is understandable; you can get carried away with other aspects of the business such as production, content creation, and marketing that this aspect of the business can fall to the side. However, you need to know where you stand and what improvements must be made to scale your business. Spend a few minutes daily to analyze deals, pricing strategies, and profit margins.

Create a strategy plan from the numbers on how specifically you are going to acquire more business, increasing revenue, and being deliberate with actions that will yield better results.  You cannot manage what you don’t measure.
